Our Key Staff

Dr. Adonis Sfera, MD. Dr. Sfera is a board certified psychiatrist and has been serving the Southern California area for over 15 years. He has been involved in over 50 studies, with a particular emphasis on psychiatric trials in the past 10 years. He founded South Coast Clinical Trials, Inc. in 2001, and has been either the Principal Investigator or the Sub-Investigator in all of our studies since then. He also has a private practice in general and geriatric psychiatry at our site.

Dr. Johnny Edrozo, MD. Dr. Edrozo is a board certified psychiatrist and specializes in general, geriatric, and child psychiatry. He is the Principal Investigator as well as Sub- Investigator for some of our studies. Aside from doing research, Dr. Edrozo also has a private practice in general, geriatric and child psychology in Anaheim. Dr. Edrozo has been affiliated with South Coast Clinical Trials, Inc since 2005.

Dr. Jason Kellogg, MD. Dr. Kellogg has been involved with numerous psychiatric clinical trials, and is currently one of our Investigators at our Anaheim location. In addition, he is also the Chief of Staff for Newport Bay Hospital. Dr. Kellogg has a great deal of experience working with adult and geripsych populations in both outpatient settings as well as in skilled nursing facilities.

Dr. Jasjit Kaur, MD. Dr. Kaur is a board certified psychiatrist. She is the Principal Investigator as well as Sub-Investigator for some of our studies. She also serves as a rater for many of our psychiatric assessments.

Don Walters. Mr Walters has worked in the field of research since 1999 to current. He has presented to organization like the Parkinson Resource Organization on the development of new Parkinson medications as well working with many different community contacts relating to schizophrenia, bipolar, depression and Alzheimer type clients. He has experience as site manager and coordinator in the field of research with CNS subjects. Don Walters has worked in the healthcare field since 1991. Recruiting, marketing, community outreach, working with and assisting Psychological Assessment Teams in Orange county and has worked with drug and alcohol facilities. Because of his extensive involvement in the area of community outreach and educator he has developed many contacts willing to work with South Coast Clinical trials in the area of CNS studies.

Rosario Diaz. Ms. Diaz is a Senior study coordinator and a member of SOCRA. She is a certified phlebotomist and lab processor, and she also assists with patient recruitment. Ms. Diaz is also a certified PANSS rater.

Dan Sfera, BS, MBA. Dan is responsible for business development. Mr. Sfera is also the Site Liaison for the company and is in charge of obtaining new studies as well as handling all of the necessary study start up activities for our multiple sites. Dan serves as the liaison between South Coast Clinical Trials, Inc and the sponsor or CRO, ensuring that each and every facet of the trials are in full compliance with the FDA and the IRB's.

Chuong “Chappy” Vu, MD. Chuong is a licensed physician from Switzerland and ECFMG-certified. He is another one of our Senior Study Coordinators. With a scientific bachelor background and an extended education in epidemiology and statistics, he has experience in pain management drugs and clinical research on medical devices.

Min S Kong, BS. Mr. Kong is a licensed Emergency Medical Technician. He is a Senior Study Coordinator . He was an experienced research associate at University of California, Riverside and Kunkuk University.
